Precision Health through AI (work package 5)
Purpose: To create solutions that enables data driven precision medicine for antibiotic stewardship.
Our goal is to use existing information in the electronic health record systems, and investigate and build prediction models using AI to individualize antibiotic therapy. A long-term goal is to integrate systems as a digital tool in the electronic health record data systems.
What we are working with right now:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a prescription tool for antibiotics within intensive care in Region Västerbotten in Sweden.
- Develop (1) data driven models that enhances antibiotic treatment of patients with severe infections. And develop (2) AI models that analyze electronic health record data from patients in emergency departments in Stockholm, Sweden, to identify patients with a lower risk of infections, i.e. that doesn't need treatment with antibiotics.
