About us

PLATINEA is an innovation environment with the aim of improving the availability and use of antibiotics. PLATINEA is financed by VINNOVA and consists of 21 actors from academia, authorities, industry and healthcare. PLATINEA includes work around several parts, all of which are necessary to ensure individualized care for patients with acute infections. The common goal is to ensure that the antibiotics available today are used in the best way and to ensure the availability of important antibiotics that risk disappearing from Sweden. Within the platform, a continuous needs inventory and prioritization of antibiotics are carried out, as well as studies to enable individualized treatment of infections.
