BBC StoryWorks Relaunches Short Film on Antibiotic Resistance – Featuring Platinea
In the fall of 2024, BBC StoryWorks produced a short documentary-style film for Viatris, focusing on one of the biggest public health challenges of our time – antibiotic resistance. The film features Platinea as a unique example of cross-sector collaboration working to improve both access to and responsible use of antibiotics.
The film is now being relaunched as part of BBC StoryWorks’ new series "The Next Frontier" – an initiative that explores how biotechnology can help tackle some of the world's most urgent challenges. The series is described as:
“A new series presented by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), exploring how biotechnology can be effectively leveraged to address the urgent global challenges facing our world. By making the invisible visible and communicating complex topics clearly, the series aims to showcase biotechnology’s potential to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future for all.”
Platinea’s featuring in this series highlights the importance of collaboration and innovation when facing a global challenge as antimicrobial resistance.
Here you'll find BBC StoryWorks series The Next Frontier, and here you'll find the one featuring PLATINEA.
