Platinea in focus at high-level meeting
Enrico Baraldi and Håkan Hanberger presented Platinea's model and approach for improving access to antibiotics during a round-table meeting at Apotekarsocieteten on 29 January. The meeting brought together heads of the health agencies, representatives of the government and Sweden's municipalities and regions.

Initiated by PLATINEA partner Viatris and moderated by former healthcare politician Anders Åkesson, the round-table meeting was attended by the general directors of the National Board of Social Affairs and Health, of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, of the Swedish Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency, and by the regulatory director and the AMR coordinator at the Swedish Medical Product Agency, the Health Ministry’s AMR coordinator, Sweden’s global-health ambassador, and the director for healthcare of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. The discussion focused on the activities of the various public agencies and actors aimed to improve access to antibiotics and how collaboration platforms like PLATINEA can contribute to this important task.
