INTRODUCE - JPIAMR funds new global project in the AMR-field

On the 18th of November JPIAMR announced which projects that is recommended funding in their 17th transnational call: “Interventions moving forward to promote action to counteract the emergence and spread of bacterial and fungal resistance and to improve treatments”.

INTRODUCE is one of these projects. The partners within INTRODUCE is; Stephan Harbarth (University of Geneva, Switzerland), Pilar Retamar-Gentil (Institute Biosanitario de Sevilla, Spain), Dafna Yahav (Sheba medical center, Israel), Mona Hellou Mustafa (Rambam Health Care Campus, Israel), and observer Elena Carrara (University of Verona, Italy). The project is going to be coordinated by Platineas projectcoordinator Thomas Tängdén.

Only a sparse amount of new antibiotics has entered the global market recently. INTRODUCE aims to create a roadmap to coordinate and provide guidance for monitoring of use and resistance regarding newly approved antibiotics. Read more about JPIAMR:s transnational call and about the project here.
