An integrated, AI-based data system was one of the measures against the problem of antibiotic shortages in Sweden that was discussed at a breakfast meeting on March 10, 2020.
Shortages of antibiotics are, as Läkemedelsvärlden has reported on various occasions, a recurring problem in healthcare. In the last week of December 2019, for example, 25 different antibiotics were listed as remaining at the Swedish Medical Products Agency.
- Antibiotic shortages keep the healthcare system busy, stated Håkan Hanberger, professor of infectious medicine, at a breakfast meeting arranged by the Association of Pharmacists and Läkemedelsvärlden.
